Cancel Ancestry without surprise fees
Export your tree first. Then cancel in Account Settings at least two days before your renewal date. On the six-month plan, Ancestry says an early termination fee of up to $25 may apply.

How to cancel
- Export your tree and photos. Follow our guide to export an Ancestry tree with its photos, then import it at /tree/.
- Find your renewal date. It is shown in Account Settings under your membership.
- Cancel at least two days before it. Use Account Settings, or call Ancestry at
1-800-401-3193. - Check which plan you are on. If it is the six-month plan billed monthly, read the fee quote below before you cancel.
- Keep the confirmation. Save the email or a screenshot with the date.

Your subscription will automatically renew at list price after the introductory offer unless you are notified otherwise.
